NYJC College Day
I finally have a chance to attend a college event as an invitee. The college day was both exciting and disappointing to me though. It was exciting as I could finally return to college to visit friends and tutors, and also get my prize. It was disappointing as I was the only one from S6A to attend it. The 3 other eligible students didn't attend. I was so eager to meet and catch up with them.
The beginning was boring, reached there at 8am, spent 1.5hrs doing nothing. The other 30mins were used for a simple briefing by the teacher in charge. By 11am, the presentation ceremony started. Row by row, the recipients received their prize. I finally got my prize, it was a brown envelope with a certificate and cash cheque inside. The process was quite fast though, faster than I expected. I also got to see Katrina. She reminds me of my birthday each time I see her, cause we both share the same birth date. I'll definitely get her something on Oct 22!
The lunch reception was a simple one, the food was good though. I also finally got to speak to Mr Haniss. He was always engaged with other students during the NY 30th anniversary and A lvl results day, thus I didn't get to speak to him. I also got to chat with Mrs Chan. She has been the best teacher thus far.
In the evening, I watched Spiderman 3! I've been desperately trying to find friends during the past 2 weekends to catch the movie, but all of them were either working or in camp. The beginning of the movie was boring, but got exciting as it progressed. It isn't worth the hype though, IMO. So many must-watch movies coming up, like Harry Potter, Pirates of Carribean and Simpsons!
I find that my writing skills has deteriorated so much. Army has made me stupid, and many of my other friends agree that the same has happened to them as well. The jump from army life to University life will be a very, very wide one. Girls are very lucky, enough said.
Someone from S6A planned a badminton session for the class, hopefully many turn up.
