Weekends

This weekend is going to be over so quickly again. I didn't really enjoy it though. I had to do guard duty in camp on Friday night, and left on Saturday morning. I slept only 4 hours that night, and was totally exhausted. I ended up spending almost the entire Saturday sleeping. I manage to salvage some entertainment for myself though. I watched Stardust with my brother at Marina Square, it's quite a good movie, no regrets. One of it's soundtrack is really nice, it plays when the credit rolled.

I actually cancelled my Sports group subscription when StarHub raised the price to $25 at the beginning of October. Now I'm having withdrawal symptoms of not being able to watch the EPL and NBA. I'm probably giving in to the StarHub monopoly of the Sports TV industry in Singapore, and pay them the exorbitant price to get my weekly sports fix.

I finally started my driving lessons again, after stopping in April due to enlistment. I'm taking lessons with a private instructor recommended by my friend. I should've taken private lessons from the start, it's a lot cheaper. Private lessons are $22/hr, while driving schools charge $35/hr. Taking 25 lessons will save you ~$290! My practical test date is in April 2008, a long long way to go, hopefully I'll be driving to town on weekends after that. :D
