Weekends!
My weekend was great.
I watched The Simpsons Movie with my friends at Cathay on Friday night. The movie was very funny, though the ending was disappointing. I expected a big bang at the end, but it was the usual love story happy ending.
On Saturday, I went to help out at the NDP Preview, assisted in the carrying of food rations for the navy performers. It rained the entire late morning and early afternoon. By 4pm, the sky cleared and the cool weather was just nice for a parade performance. I met up with my NYJC classmates for dinner that night. We decided on Jack's Place at Marina Sq so we could see the fireworks as well. The fireworks that night was amazing, probably the standards of the actual parade itself. The small area outside Jack's Place was filled with people, all the 'Woah!' and 'Wow!' could be heard when the first fireworks exploded in the sky. It really complemented the Singapore skyline. I cannot imagine how beautiful the backdrop will be when the Marina Sands resort construction is completed.
Anyway, I'm still waiting for my friends to send me the group photos taken that night. Where are you??? Yvonne was the only one who will be studying in SMU, and she was complaining about the extremely differing culture there. The bulk of students are from RJC and ACJC. I really wonder how my life in NTU will be next time. It may probably be JC life all over again, as most of the students from other JCs are enrolled into NTU and NUS.
