Happy Teachers' Day!
Tomorrow is the day dedicated to all teachers around the world.
There are caring, patient, intelligent and helpful teachers, there are also lazy, hot-tempered and cant be bothered teachers. I wish all the caring teachers in the world a happy and meaningful teacher's day. :)
We had a small teacher's day celebration in school today. First it was the gay 'aces' day workout and then it was the 'students vs teachers' captain's ball game. My class was supposed to be playing if not for Sec 4/3. This was all due to a teacher who could not be bothered to plan the captain's ball game properly. (no names mentioned.) If not for the teacher, there would have been a well-organised knockout system for the captain's ball game. But every class played only one game, some did not even play, and the winner was chosen who got to play against the teachers today. Sec 4/3 played the first half, while 5/2 played the next. I applaude Sec 5/2 for their great skills and style during the captain's ball game. It was clear that 4/3 wasn't as good as 5/2. Booo to them!
After that, there was a short concert. It was downright boring. 'Nuff said. The teachers cut the cake after the concert. Also, the "Inspiring Teacher" and "Innovative Teacher" awards were presented at the end of the concert too.
Mr Chew won the Innovative Teacher award while Ms Lee was the Inspiring Teacher. :P
The principal also mentioned other teachers who got many votes, and wasn't far behind the winner. One of them was -the- teacher who could not even organise the captain's ball game properly. Many students were disgusted at how she could get so many votes.
The Prelims is near, in fact its just 2 days away... First up to conquer is Social Studies and then next will be English. I hope to get good grades for both the subjects, so as to make my efforts pay off.
I'd like to wish my form and all my subject teachers a great teacher's day once again. :D
