Weekend

My weekend was alright. On Saturday, I went out with a few friends for lunch and then later shopped around Sim lim Sq for a thumb drive. In the end, I bought a $25 1GB Sandisk Titanium flash drive for my Dad to use during work. My evening was boring though, I stayed at home as my friends either had to return to camp, were confined, or were busy. However looking on the positive side, I got to spend quality time with my family.

On Sunday, I went to Borders. I had a $20 Borders voucher which I earned during my JC1 days for getting onto the Honour Roll. I selected a book entitled 'the flying book' by David Blatner. It contains everything anyone would ever wonder about flying on airlines. I'm still halfway through the book though, and it is really intriguing. Here are some stuff from the book which fascinates me:
"When one of the two pilots in the cockpit leaves for a break, the other pilot has to put on an oxygen mask. This is because the air pressure in the cockpit drops when one pilot leaves, and the oxygen mask prevents the other pilot from getting any side effects because of the air pressure change."

"The black trolley bag carried by pilots onboard plane does not contain their luggage. It's actually all the paperwork and documents they need to go through before, during and after the flight."

It's a very good book for anyone who's interested in commercial aviation.
I've to be back in camp at 9pm later on, going to have my dinner now. Good day!
